Oracle Keynote
We welcome special guest and Oracle Keynote Speaker Joe Thomas to the conference. Joe will be speaking at 8:30am on Thursday March 15th
Joe is Sr Director, Business Intelligence at Oracle Corporation, and a member of Oracle’s BI Global Business Unit. Joe has spent over 20 years focused on selling, marketing and implementing business intelligence, enterprise performance management and information portals at Oracle, Viador and Apple. Joe was part of the mergers and acquisitions team that brought IRI Software (now the Oracle OLAP Option) to Oracle, and has been a key part of the integration teams unifying the BI components of Peoplesoft, Siebel, and Hyperion into the Oracle Business Intelligence portfolio of offerings. Joe has discussed with and presented to thousands of customers, prospects and partners on business intelligence, including events with the OAUG, IOUG, The Economist, TDWI, CIO Magazine, Information Week, CFO.com and keynoting the Computerworld Business Intelligence Perspectives event. Joe lived in Omaha in the late 60′s when his father was part of Strategic Air Command.

Rich Niemiec is a world renowned Oracle Expert. Rich is an Oracle Ace Director and was a co-founder and the CEO of TUSC, a Chicago-based systems integrator of Oracle-based business solutions started in 1988. Rich currently serves as an Executive Advisor to Rolta International Board of Directors and has served as President of Rolta TUSC and Rolta EICT. TUSC was the Oracle Partner of the Year in 2002, 2004, 2007, 2008, & 2010 (Rolta TUSC). Rolta is an international market leader in IT-based geospatial solutions, and caters to industries as diverse as infrastructure, telecom, electric, airports, defense, homeland security, urban development, town planning and environmental protection. Rich is the past President of the International Oracle Users Group (IOUG) and the current President of the Midwest Oracle Users Group (MOUG). Rich is one of six originally honored worldwide Oracle Certified Masters. In 2007, he authored the Oracle bestseller "Oracle10g Performance Tuning Tips & Techniques," an update of his previous 2 Oracle best sellers on Oracle8i and Oracle9i Performance Tuning. His newest book, Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Performance Tuning Tips & Techniques, was just released in February 2012. Rich was inducted into the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame in 1998.
