University of Nebraska Omaha – College of IS&T joins the Heartland OUG Conference on March 15th
The University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) College of IS&T will once again join the Heartland OUG for its March 15 User Conference. UNO staff will present 5 different Education sessions that are free to user group members, focused on the IT Professional and are modeled after IT Academy offerings.
The UNO IT Academy’s goal is to leverage the intellectual expertise available at the university to offer high quality, affordable, locally accessible, cutting edge IT education and training in key topics of interest to local professionals. Their workshops combine current research with problems of practical interest to IT professionals. Attendees can apply these training sessions toward their certifications by self-reporting professional development units (PDUs) or continuing education units (CEUs). Most certification agencies such as PMI recognize relevant educational activities or programs offered by universities. The University will also issue a completion certificate for each session attended. For the April IT Academy, there are seven unique workshops planned:
